Outstanding HST Results on Ro-Ro Ship
January 2011 – The revolutionary Hull Surface Treatment technology has once again proven to be deadly efficient in killing and removing hull fouling. The treatment was carried out to two fifteen metre strips on the Port side of Tee Kay’s Iron Monarch. The two strips allowed for comparison between the treated and untreated sections. HST was applied on the 15th December 2010 and the photos were taken on the 25th January 2011. The ship had steamed for a total of 24 days in that period.
The photos below leave no doubt that this technology is the solution for hull fouling in 2011. The fuel saved by a vessel if its hull were kept in the condition shown by the photos of the treated sections of this hull as compared to the untreated sections would far out way the cost of applying HST regularly.
