T&C Marine Awarded Maintenance for Layup of IRON MONARCH

The IRON MONARCH, BlueScope Steel’s special purpose ship for transporting steel slabs and coils, recently required a 16 day maintenance lay-up. During this time T&C Marine carried out:

- Repairs to main structural frames
- Repairs to structural cracks on cargo decks
- Hatch lids – repairs and modifications
- Slab and Coil cargo cranes and associated handling equipment - repairs and tests to cargo magnets
- Main Engine fuel system repairs and replacement
- Port holes - refurbishment
- Air Conditioning compressor maintenance
- Hydraulics
- Ro-Ro ramp repairs
- Access ladders - replacement
The majority of this work was carried out in-house using T&C Marine technicians, workshops and equipment.
